Principal’s Update

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, this week was a true celebration of the beauty of small rural schools. This event though would not be able to go ahead without the Macdonalds. Thank you Liz and Seamus for the use of your land.

What a team we are Waitetuna Whaanau. Even with absences due to sickness within our school community we still put together a great event for schools in our sports cluster. From the nachos to the baking and then thanks to Jason, Bevan and Damian for putting up the tents on Wednesday afternoon through to our world famous food in the food tent and the ultimate cross country course. It was a great event. A big thank you to everyone who contributed in whatever way you could. Thank you to our awesome PTA. You Rock!! We raised approx. $2750—Great job team!

Massive Shout Out to Circus Aotearoa for their tent and to Irene for doing our warm ups.

Congratulations to Grace (1st place), Jade (2nd place), Gus (2nd Place), Jackson (3rd Place) for their Inter School placings. Our Waitetuna School Cross Country certificates will be handed out at next week’s Friday assembly.

I hope you have locked in the 15th September for the Kapahaka festival. The were doing really well with their student practices
