Principal’s Update  Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau,  My husband’s surgery was postponed last week but was able to go ahead on Wednesday successfully. Thanks to the team for covering. He is doing well.  School Photos on Monday morning —a form has gone home now (arrived late) for the sibling photos. It still needs to be filled in even if you have told the office. Sibling photos will be starting from 8.30am.  Surf Lifesaving Day —17th March—permission slips need to be back for this.

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, it has been a very busy week this week. This week has included some PAT testing. Testing included the Listening for Year 3 through to Year 8. The other subjects are Reading Comprehension, Reading Vocabulary, Maths, Science, Punctuation and Grammar and Writing. The Seniors continue to practise their softball skills for the upcoming Inter School softball tournament and the whole school is working on their swimming for the Swimming Sports next Friday.

And a very special welcome to our new families. Attendance —we finished the year with our term 4 attendance at 59% of students at school 90% or more. It has been an amazing learning journey with many, many wonderful opportunities provided for our students. Principal’s Update  Ag Day and Group Day: A Community Triumph!  What an incredible experience we had celebrating our annual Ag Day and bringing Group Day back to Waitetuna! It was a brilliant success, highlighted by the fantastic participation from our students and a great turnout from the wider community and neighbouring schools.  The effort our students put into raising and preparing their animals was clear to see, and they represented our school with pride at both events.
