Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, Thanks to Bill and the Senior Room for their efforts with the native seedling planting at Hillary Hope Reserve last week on such a frosty morning. Tumeke team.
Auditor—I would like to say thank you to Lorna for the work she does for the Annual Audit. As a public entity we are thoroughly financially audited every single year. This means that Lorna has to compile receipts, accounts, documents and policies but together we have earned a positive reputation with our accountants and auditors.
Wear Yellow for Harold—thanks for your support of this event. It was great to see the students all getting behind their favourite mobile classroom and supporting Harold and Abby.
Production organisation - a letter has gone home about the Production practices down at the hall and for the evening of the Production. Please can you ensure this permission slip comes back to school. We would appreciate a hand taxiing children back and forth from the hall.
Production tickets—tickets for the Production are on sale. Please email Lorna with how many adult and children’s tickets you require. The $5 ticket price helps us cover the costs to hire the lighting and sound systems that we use. There is dress rehearsal matinee starting at midday on Tuesday 30th June for people who are finding it difficult to get to the evening show or for older grandparents who find the winter evenings too cold. Just remember it is a dress rehearsal. Please can you also email Lorna if some-one wants to attend this. We have invited the Early Childhood centres too.
Yesterday we let the Junior Room parents know that Robyn has been awarded a well-deserved sabbatical for Term 4 this year. This is a fantastic opportunity for her to take a break from the daily classroom routine and engage in some valuable professional research that will ultimately benefit our entire school community. We are incredibly proud of Robyn for securing this opportunity, which is fully funded and supported by the Ministry of Education. Jess Otton and Liz will be covering her role in Term 4.
Have a very restful weekend as we have two very busy weeks ahead.
Ngaa mihi Amanda and staff
