Princiapal's Update

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, we hope you managed a break. Welcome back for Term Rua. We have an exciting term planned that celebrates ‘The Arts’ where we will be having a whole school Production. Children will work in class to learn script lines, singing and dancing moves. The script is based on the book “Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge”. We are looking forward to our Production term. Lock in Wednesday 1st July as this will be our evening performance. One night only!

Attendance – I am delighted to report that the Middle Room won a visit to Ninja Valley with their Term 1 attendance result. Congratulations Middle Room. Ninja Valley are considering continuing this competition in the coming terms so we will certainly opt in if they do.

Photo survey—as discussed at the end of the last term we are asking for your thoughts on our photo use. Please complete the survey online or the paper copy.

A reminder we have the Education Review Office joining us in week 3 of Term 2. Dion Marchioni, our Evaluation Partner will be with us over two days—Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have a Mihi Whakatau on Tuesday morning around 8.45am to welcome Dion followed by a cuppa. You are welcome to join us. The board are meeting with Dion on Tuesday 5th May at 1.30pm and teaching staff will meet with Dion after school that day.

Hopefully you can join us at the Anzac Day parade in Raglan on the 25th April. We will meet at 10.45am by the Fire Brigade.

Movie day on the last day of term—thanks for the positive feedback on our movie trip.

We have had a great first week back which has included Football and Ki-o-rahi practise, Anzac writing, Art, learning about Space after NASA’s Artemis campaign to the Moon, and the many other varied learning activities during a school week. Well done to all for a great start. Enjoy your long weekend.

Ngaa mihi Amanda and staff.

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, I have heard lots of great stories about camp. It was great to see everyone giving it their best. We think Finlay Park has great facilities and is a great camp venue. Thank
