Principal’s Update
Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, we had a great few days of learning with Abby and Harold the giraffe in the Life Ed truck. I hope you heard lots of great messages. I accompanied the Year 5 and 6 students and always appreciate the way Abby presents the important learning to the different age groups across the school.
Student teacher—you may have already met Jordan who is a student teacher in the Junior Room. She starts here with a practicum of two weeks and then will be with us one day a week until the end of term 3. Great to have you as part of the team Jordan.
New soccer goals—thanks to Gallagher funding we were able to purchase the new soccer goals. They have seen plenty of action already.
School fees– Lorna will be sending out invoices with the school fees for the year. These include important components of your child’s learning—Steps Web, Mathletics, Activity Fee (covering trips and visitors, like Life Ed), Travel Fee, Cyber safety (Linewise), Donation. Thanks for your support with paying these. You can pay them off over the year.
ERO survey—Learning Support– ERO are completing a study around Learning Support. They are interested in hearing whanau experiences. We will send out the link in a separate email. ERO’s research centre wants to hear from parents and whānau about your experience with learning support.
Please note—I will be away from Wednesday to Friday of next week as my husband is having surgery. Thanks to the team for covering me.
Kia pai too raa whakataa, Have a great weekend, Whaea Amanda and the team.
