Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau,
Monday was 101 days at school for the Junior Room! This milestone is a fantastic opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work, achievements, and growth of the students through the year to date. Thanks Whaea Robyn for marking this day with fun filled activities and special events to mark this occasion.
Learning Conferences—it is great to see excellent attendance at our student learning conferences and thanks to those families that came to see me in the staffroom to discuss potential reporting systems. We know you value this time to catch up with teachers and hear the successes your children have shared and decide together on their next steps. I enjoyed reading the students presentations. Allowing children time to reflect and plan forward is hugely important. The reflection helps further cement the learning.
Fun Olympics Day—today we enjoyed an afternoon of Olympic activities. There was lots of teamwork, and school spirit through a series of exciting and enjoyable activities and the very important Opening Ceremony, Parade of Nations. Remember to “Save the Date” Inter School Cross Country 22nd August.
I wish you all a great weekend. And go the All Blacks!
Ngaa mihi Amanda and staff.
