Principal's Update

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, lots of great Book Week Fun. It was neat to have our Board Chair Sally Ridley and Constable Tom in this week to read to the students as part of Book Week. Wednesday’s Book Character Dress-Up Day was a highlight—everyone looked fantastic in their creative costumes. From superheroes to storybook classics, it was a joy to see so many favourite characters come to life!

Our Booknic was a lovely way to come together—thank you to everyone who joined us. It’s been a week full of reading fun, imagination, and a real love of books! Thank you for your support of our Booknic and Book Fair this week. Booknic sales raised $1597.

Celebrating our Support Staff—this week we took the time to acknowledge our Support Staff including weekly volunteers and the tremendous mahi they do to support our students and teachers. Thank you to Amberlee, Amy, Jane, Jess, Jennie, Jessy, Karla, Liz, Lorna, Lou and Richard. We appreciate you!

From Tuesday next week I am fortunate to be able to attend the Rural Principals conference which is to be held in Otautahi, Christchurch this year. There will be no newsletter next week. Thanks to Robyn and the team for covering while I am away.

Remember it is Kings Birthday on the 2nd June. Have a tremendous weekend.

Ngaa mihi Amanda and staff
