Principal’s Update

Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, our students had a fantastic time, doing exceptionally well at our School Swimming Sports, showcasing their skill development and confidence in the water. It was great to see everyone giving their best effort, demonstrating determination, and celebrating each other's achievements. A huge well done to all participants for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Thank you to our staff and supporters for making the event a success! It was great to see so many families coming to celebrate our swimming. You will have seen our brand-new lane ropes. We are working with the Lions to get the funding for these. They will be properly installed but they had only arrived two days prior to the event.

Bike Week organisation—bike week starts next week. Children can ride their bikes at school during break times. Please bring them in from Monday onwards. If you prefer bikes can stay at school until after the Tryathlon. If your child has trainer wheels they can ride on the tennis court. We would be most grateful if we could borrow any spare bikes and/or helmets. Tryathlon will start just after 1pm on Wednesday 26th March with the 12 year olds. Each age group will follow at approximate 10 minute intervals.

Inter School Swimming SportsThursday 20th March—please note change of date! Your child will have received a notice if they qualified.

Thank you for your support with our Staff Only day on Monday. There was lots to think about with the Maths Curriculum. Our staff already have a strong understanding of qual-ity teaching, and this session was designed to complement and build on the great work they are already doing. Exciting learning ahead for our students!

A reminder please that school finishes at 2.50pm. If you are unable to pick up a message to us to let us know is important please. If you are going to be later than 3.05pm on a regular basis we ask that you please put your child into after school care.

There will be no newsletter next week as I am at a Rural Women’s Princi-pal conference from Mon through to Wednesday.

Kia pai to ra whakataa. Have a great weekend. Vinaka Amanda and staff
