Kia ora Waitetuna Whaanau, last Friday the Senior Room had a busy day, checking and sorting our school ‘landfill rubbish and doing a thorough analysis on our ability to ‘Put it in the right bin’. What were we sending to landfill that shouldn’t be going? The great news was that there was only three pieces of paper that could be recycled going in the rubbish. We can do a little better with our food scraps waste though. And we are going to do some research into Kiwi plastics who will accept our soft plastics. After lunch we wel-comed Nick from Hatu Hone St Johns and she gave the year 5-8 students a great overview of how to use CPR and practising placing someone in the recovery position. Thanks Nick.
A Fantastic Athletics Day! We had an amazing day of competition and fun at our recent Athletics Day! The energy and enthusiasm from all of our students was incredible, with everyone giving their best effort in each event. From sprints to long jump, there was no shortage of excitement and healthy competition. It was wonderful to see so much sportsmanship and teamwork on display too, with lots of support from our school community. A huge congratulations to all participants for making it such a memorable event, and a special thanks to the staff and volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly!
